Hyatt Regency Jinshan, Taiwan, is located in Jinshan Area in northern Taiwan. The design concept is drawn heavily from local Hakka, Taiwanese, and Fly Fishing history and cultures. The queues, motifs and spatial journey, instigates a tactile visual experience.
“The key was to focus, elevate and celebrate the local flavor, history and culture, and to revitalize the area’s innate character.” Says ARTEC.
Not only was it necessary to re-calibrate these design elements, but it is also critical that the retention of the core messages of the locality, of Jinshan, can be expressed, and be distinct from other areas of Taiwan.
The Hotel program features a standard Hyatt Regency program, with added flairs of Chapel, for wedding events, and Presidential Suite, a vast waterway feature, pool and expansive public and private hot springs within the rooms and suites.
With the added unique feature of natural hot springs and mountainous picturesque views.
The design was able to harvest and replicate these, also distinct Jinshan features, as the backdrop of the design narrative.
The manifestation and result of the accumulation of these components, integration, was methodically crafted to articulated through objects, spatial moments and emotive design.
