Dream City takes shape within the new CBD area of Nanchang City, China. A multi-programmed spaces including Shopping, Retail, F&B and entertainment with three office towers, roof gardens and multi-function outdoor spaces.

Taking inspiration and cue from “clouds” and “mountains”, as a catalyst for the architectural form.

The undulations of the form mirror abstraction gestures of traditional Chinese scenic brush paintings, expressing a variety of experiences from each locale, within the cloud formation above monolithic anchoring mountains.

With each concurrent brush stroke, the overlaying of these, creates a visual and sequential experience.

Strategic voids and angles of view were designed so as to maximize scenic corridors afforded by the circulatory granulations and weaves in the architecture.

Splayed across the layout of Nanchang City CBD, throughout night and day, the design extends a vibrancy to the greater city area with it’s free-form gestures and celebration of the modern urban-scape.
