Continuing upon Suzhou’s main retail store’s design, the homage continues with Burberry’s history, manifested through a contemporary lens to spotlight the label’s iconic cotton-gabardine trench coat. Whilst adhering to strict Design and Fit-Out standards of Burberry London, there was an opportunity to vary and add a tinge of new flavors.
‘A miniaturization of the “domestic shell”, a home where art, culture and people move through intelligent and elegant modernity,’ says C.Huang.
The main display is also the main entry facing of the vibrant circulation in an ever-changing gallery environment for which to display Burberry’s collections, with strategically placed square-framing on elevations and central dais unit for merchandising.
The play upon the brand’s storied heritage continues, while remaining attractive enough to a young generation of shoppers, with its atmosphere reflecting a fine balance between traditional retail and sleek concept shop.
