The design continues to Hangzhou, an echo of Suzhou’s concepts, and the homage continues with Burberry’s history, manifested through a contemporary lens to spotlight the label’s iconic cotton-gabardine trench coat. Whilst adhering to strict Design and Fit-Out standards of Burberry London, there was an opportunity to vary and add a tinge of new flavors.
‘A continuation, in the vibrant budding city of Hangzhou, a home where art, culture and people move through intelligent and elegant modernity,’ says C.Huang.
The main display area, wraps around a central monolithic shelf, with it’s end point, crossing over the key circulatory path, showcase’s Burberry’s lifestyle poster-ups in an ever-changing gallery environment for which to display Burberry’s collections, with strategically placed mil work cabinets and jewel display cases for merchandising.
The play upon the brand’s storied heritage continues, while remaining attractive enough to a young generation of shoppers, with its atmosphere reflecting a fine balance between traditional retail and sleek concept shop.
