ARTEC in Phnom Penh Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam is hiring talented mid-level Architectural and Interior Designers. Focusing on Hospitality, F&B, Retail, Commercial, Residential, Showrooms and Offices from small scale to urban scale projects.

The internal team culture is multi-cultural, with an avid consensus on quality, aesthetic and human focused creations, with emphasis on meaningful design. Where team members are encouraged to ask questions, challenge ideas and methods as well as practice diligence in their craft, to learn and support other members of the ARTEC family. The right candidate would have the opportunity to work on projects in Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and other ASEAN destinations, with support and collaboration with China based team members.

INTERIOR DESIGNER / ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

GENERAL SCOPE

1. Undertaking Design Projects from Concept to Completion.
2. Work with senior team members to define project schedules and requirements, and the brief.
3. Ability to communicate and work with external consultants, suppliers, contractors and the client, other stakeholders or their representative(s).
4. To create, evolve, develop and produce drawings, concepts, in all stages of the design process.
5. To communicate and coordinate, where necessary, with external or other stakeholder parties, throughout the project process.
6. Put in practice the candidate’s intrinsic artistic, creative and strong interpersonal skills.
7. Has innate initiative and able to express opinions and explain thought processes and logic through detailed communication methods.

REQUIREMENTS

1. English Language ability to be Proficient to Professional / Native level.
2. Khmer or Vietnamese Language ability will be an advantage.
3. Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Architecture, or equal / similar.
4. Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD.
5. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Advantage if have additional competency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign.
6. Proficient in either SketchUp or 3DS Max, Advantage if have additional competency in McNeel Rhino3D or V-Ray.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS environment.
8. Proficient in standard Microsoft Office365 software, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Advantage if have additional competency in TEAMS.
9. Ability to hand sketch will be an advantage.

SKILLS

1. Proven portfolio of works.
2. Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience range.
3. Familiarity with common construction finishes and materials.
4. Proven on-site and/or fabrication experience is an advantage.
5. Keen eye for color, texture, shades, lighting, scale, mood imagery.
6. Ability to present designs to the client is an advantage.
7. Proven ability to problem solve, with a self-starter attitude.
8. Experience in FF&E and specification.
