GENERAL SCOPE

1. Undertaking Design Projects from Concept to Completion. (May involve GC Supervision or Administration).
2. Work with Team Members to define project schedules and requirements, and the brief.
3. Ability to communicate, manage, coordinate and work with external consultants, engineers, suppliers, contractors and the client, other stakeholders or their representative(s).
4. To be able to plan, produce and review drawings, in all stages of the design process.
5. Put in practice the candidate’s detail-minded, time conscious and strong interpersonal skills.
6. Has innate initiative and able to express opinions and explain thought processes and logic through detailed communication methods.
7. Ability to interpret, communicate and create solutions based on design intent.
8. Able to use AutoCAD, a 3D Modelling Software (3DS Max / SketchUp / Rhino or Similar).
9. Good Knowledge of Construction Materials, Construction Phases and Construction Details.
10. Ability to Compile Schedules and Other Tables necessary to Support the Design Drawings Package.

4. High Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD.

Cambodia issued a sub-decree for the complete implementation of Cambodia’s new Law on Investment – which has been in force since October 15, 2021 – to attract and boost both local and foreign direct investment in the country, said a statement released by the government.

The sub-decree would entitle relevant government institutions, private sector investors and business people to follow and implement the new investment law more effectively as the legal frameworks provide clear-cut guidelines for investment and set clear in-charge bodies, investment projects and incentive conditions.

Cambodia’s Secretary General of CDC—Cambodia’s highest decision-making body for private and public investments stated that the sub-decree sets the clusters of investment projects incentivized on inputs for production to supply domestic markets, a cluster of investment projects incentivized on customs, special duties and Value Added Tax (VAT) but un-incentivised on taxation.

Minister of Commerce Pan Sorasak urged all relevant parties to work together on the possibility of establishing a free trade agreement between Cambodia and Japan following a remarkable surge in exports of Cambodian products to Japan this year.

The minister was speaking at a seminar, attended by businessmen and entrepreneurs from both countries, on trade facilitation and digitization of trade between Japan and Cambodia on Friday.

Chinese President Xi Jinping on February 10 announced a 300 million yuan ($44 million) grant package to support the Kingdom’s railway ambitions, which are expected to improve the livelihoods of many Cambodians, according to National Television of Cambodia (TVK).

This comes during a meeting between Xi and Prime Minister Hun Sen on the second day of his February 9-11 visit to China.

According to TVK, the two leaders agreed at the meeting to foster a “diamond-” like cooperation, pushing bilateral relations to a “new peak”, with Xi thanking Hun Sen for his public declaration that, “if I don’t rely on China, who would I rely on?”

China’s assistance has driven progress of Cambodia, and consolidated the Kingdom’s sovereignty, the premier said.

Cambodia exported $7 billion worth of goods to the US market in the first nine months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 29.4 percent, according to a report of the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE) report this week.

According to the Korea International Trade Association, bilateral trade rose 22.7 percent at $195.2 million in the first two months of 2022.

From January to February, the Kingdom spent $130 million for importing products from the East Asia nation, surging by 39.1 percent compared to the same period last year.

The Cambodia-Korea Free Trade Agreement (CKFTA), the Kingdom’s second bilateral FTA after its deal with China, signed by the two countries last year, will materialise soon.

China will provide Cambodia with 4 billion yuan (U.S. $587.6 million) in aid over the next three years, Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Sen said Tuesday, as Phnom Penh further cements ties with Beijing in the face of sanctions threats from the European Union.

Hun Sen met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday for bilateral talks during a three-day trip to Beijing and requested additional aid from China, his country’s largest donor and investor.

In a post to his Facebook account Tuesday, Hun Sen said that Xi had pledged the 4 billion yuan in aid “for a three-year project” from 2019 to 2021.
